Sundays at SSEC
We have multiple opportunities to join us each week. Services are Saturday at 5:00pm, Sunday at 8:00am, and Sunday at 10:15am. All services are friendly, casual and places where you’ll receive a warm welcome.
Sundays, 8:00am – Contemplative
A quiet spoken service, with a short sermon and holy communion. This service lasts approximately 45 minutes – there is no choir or singing.
Sundays, 10:15am – Traditional
A classic service. Typically featuring our choir, traditional hymns, organ and classical arrangements, alongside a reflective sermon. This service lasts approximately one hour and includes the sharing of bread and wine in communion.
Saturday evenings at your Cathedral put a special emphasis on worship with music. Our services throughout the month include:
- Traditional Liturgical Music – Rite I – 1st Saturday
- Celtic Eucharist – 2nd Saturday
- Traditional Liturgical Music – Rite II – 3rd and 4th Saturday
- Family Eucharist – 5th Saturday
Join members of the community for morning prayer on Facebook, Monday – Saturday at 8:30am. For about 20 minutes we pause to hear scripture and to pray for what’s on our hearts and for the cares and concerns of the world.
Join Us in Prayer
Our small prayer community continues to pray Compline, an ancient nigh prayer of the church, at 9:00pm. each weekday night. We have a variety of voices leading us, and we would be delighted if you would join us. Call the church office for dial-in information.
Finding Common Grounds
Join us after worship on Sunday for coffee hour (or lemonade hour in the summer) immediately following the 10:15am. service. This is a great time for conversation, camaraderie, and meeting new people.
