Children of Faith
Children & Youth at St. Stephen’s
Kids are welcome at St. Stephen’s, too! We have a variety of child care and educational options available. When you arrive at St. Stephen’s, one of our trained Christian Education coordinators will help you navigate our children & youth Sunday morning programs.
Due to Covid 19, the Nursery is Temporarily Closed
The Nursery at St. Stephen’s is open every Sunday from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. This is a free, drop-in service available for parents who are attending Sunday services. Two nursery aides are on hand each Sunday. This is a safe and loving space with an age appropriate lesson each week so that our littlest members can start to learn the stories of the Bible through reading-aloud, music and play.
Fun for All
Children at SSEC
Children’s Christian Formation (K-5)
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 10:00am. Our gatherings include lessons, games and discussions which are often based on the lectionary that is used on Sunday.
Teens That Lead
Youth at SSEC
Youth Education (6-12)
Our older youth under the direction of dedicated adult leaders, engage in thoughtful discussion about how Christian values impact their own life choices. Much of this program is guided by the thoughts and questions asked by our youth members.

Parents Coming Together
Young Families Group
St. Stephen’s has a growing group of parents with young children. The goal of this group is to provide mutual fellowship and support among new families. Parents can bring their children to our Gathering Room for this meeting, or drop the kids off at the nursery. This wonderful group is aimed at parents who have children preschool-age or younger.

Protecting Young Lives
Safety & Child Protection
The care and protection of children is of the utmost importance to us. All staff and volunteers who work with children have the appropriate Child Abuse and Criminal Records clearances. We require everyone who works with children to attend training on recognizing, preventing and reporting child abuse. St. Stephen’s complies with all state and federal laws relating to the reporting of child abuse to the proper authorities.
