The Very Rev. Robyn Szoke-Coolidge

It is a joy to be welcomed back to St. Stephen Cathedral. As an Episcopal Priest with over 35 years of experience, I am canonically resident in the Diocese of Central PA and live in New Cumberland PA. My previous mission and ministry focus included the Development of the Stevenson School for Ministry as the Dean of the school, Diocesan staff for congregational development and children and family ministry and Associate Rector at St. Johns Carlisle, PA. I arrived in the Diocese of Central PA after being on Presiding Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Frank Griswold’s staff for adult formation and Children and young people ministry. For the past two years, I have been working as a consultant to the church; to walk and pray with congregations in ways that discover and clarify what they believe God is calling them to be about in mission and ministry, to encourage them to develop creative solutions and actionable spiritual and ministry formation plans and then, hold all to be accountable for following-through to achieve spiritual and ministry goals. My field of study includes integrative liturgical, pastoral and educational formation for mission and ministry with an emphasis on creative design for congregations that fits the culture of the community. My experience also includes expertise in congregational systems and development with a pastoral and spiritual focus on families, children and development of intergenerational ministries. My husband, Phil and I love to travel and visit friends especially in the UK, Ireland, and Luxemburg. I enjoy hiking and weather permitting biking the lovely rails to trails. I also love to read, garden, and bake when I am not enjoying soccer games and track events where my grandchildren are learning the importance of team spirit. We presently are raising a basset fauve hound, Kipper, now two years old.
